Lady Cheryl first started making her creamy body butter in 1993 while she was going through radiation therapy for breast cancer. Over the years she improved the formula and started making it for family members and friends to treat eczema and other skin rashes. Cheryl also discovered this natural and organic cream moisturizes dry hair and is excellent to use on all curly or wavy hair types.
Encouraged by her hair clients in 2005, Lady Cheryl launched her own product line with 8 products. Her line of organic and natural hair and skin care products grew to 150 different products, including shampoos, conditioners, body scrubs, body creams and butters, natural soy massage oil candles, perfumes and colognes. She also developed a line of shaving cream and oils for her son's barbershop.
In 2015 Cheryl was forced into an early retirement due to health issues, but she never stopped making her best selling products (on a much smaller scale) for her hair clients, family and friends.
Lady Cheryl was featured in Blacktress Hair Magazine and several other national publications. She was also featured on channel 8, ABC News for making organic hair and skin care products. Her self-help book, "Healthy Hair Care Tips for Today's Black Woman" along with her romance suspense, "Sooner or Later", made the bestsellers list on Internet websites. She has a few autographed copies available for sale on this and other website. Her books can be also checked out at your local library.
Well, over the years, Cheryl’s health has improved tremendously and she’s back with her best-selling products!!!
Cheryl also maintains an organic, backyard food forest with over 60 fruit trees, vines and bushes. Many of the herbs and oils in her products are grown in her food forest. She gives God all the credit for the improvements in her health and she knows her love for gardening and caring for her food forest kept her moving on many days that she didn't feel like getting out of bed.
Feel free to checkout Cheryl's YouTube Channel, Cheryl's Organic Food Forest. She loves to make videos, especially the videos sharing how she is growing an emergency garden to help people during this pandemic. Lady Cheryl is also teaching new gardeners and her grandchildren how to grow food organically via her YouTube channel and Facebook gardening group.
